Senator Torgerson, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page 2870. Without objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 289(FIN) An Act relating to technical and vocational education and to employment assistance and training; and providing for an effective date was adopted and read the second time. Senators Lincoln, Ellis, Elton, Hoffman, Adams offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, lines 4 - 15: Delete all material. Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Page 5, line 29: Delete "sec. 3" Insert "sec. 2" Page 5, line 30: Delete "sec. 3" Insert "sec. 2" Page 6, line 2: Delete "sec. 3" Insert "sec. 2" 2000-04-10 Senate Journal Page 2953 SB 289 Senator Lincoln moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.
